H. Goutorbe Millesime 2012

From the excellent 2012 vintage, this champagne is made from 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. It shows a light lemon color with a fine, gentle sparkle.

On the nose, you’ll find aromas of cooked white fruits, strawberry compote, toasted walnuts, warm brioche, and a touch of minerality. The palate is round and well balanced, with a smooth texture that brings the two grape varieties together nicely. The finish is long, slightly reminiscent of fresh pastry, and pleasantly mouthwatering.

A great food champagne, it works especially well with white meat dishes.
